During my last days as the Media and Press Attache in Washington DC, I met Nicholas Kristof here in Bahrain. We spoke and cruised around Bahrain for nearly four hours. I enjoyed it very much and he did mention that he now understands Bahrain more than when he first was here during February and March of 2011.
Many in Bahrain accused Nick of being very biased against Bahrain. He did ask me if I thought the same as well. I answered that I believe he doesn’t know what’s really happening behind the scenes. Our discussion is not aired and taped here, but I know that he took a lot from our discussion. Here’s the video.
